Cowhide Rug Care
Fortunately, genuine cowskin requires very little maintenance and it is not difficult to clean. Of course, you should wipe up spills in a timely manner with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Always rub in the natural direction of the hair, but don’t rub too harshly. If you should spill something like red wine, make sure to clean it up very quickly, or it may sink down to the suede bottom where it could stain. Periodically shake your rug outside to remove and dust or debris.
